Detroit Business Institute provides student services in support of academic achievement, student retention, regulatory compliance, and program completion. Student Services are administered in accordance with institutional policies and applicable accreditation standards.
Academic Advising & Progress Monitoring
Student Services supports students through structured academic advising and oversight processes, which may include:
- Orientation to program expectations
- Ongoing academic progress review
- Monitoring of attendance and satisfactory academic progress
- Referrals for tutoring or academic support where appropriate
- Assistance in understanding academic policies and procedures
Academic progress is evaluated in accordance with published institutional policies.
Clinical & Compliance Support
For programs requiring clinical or experiential components, Student Services assists students with compliance requirements, which may include:
- Health documentation verification
- Background checks and drug screening coordination
- Immunization and certification requirements
- Communication regarding clinical placement processes
Clinical placements are subject to external facility approval and regulatory requirements.
Career Services
Detroit Business Institute provides career services intended to assist students in preparing for employment following program completion.
Services may include:
- Resume and interview preparation guidance
- Job search strategies
- Access to employment postings and employer information
- Career development resources
Employment is not guaranteed. Hiring decisions are made by employers and may require licensure, certification, or additional qualifications beyond program completion.
